A story of family and love of terroir and vines. As far back as the 18th century, Château de Chamirey, the family home, dominated the entire Côte Chalonnaise.

In 1934, the Marquis de Jouennes, father-in-law of Bertrand Devillard and grandfather of Amaury and Aurore (current owners/heirs), produced his first bottle of Mercurey red. It was the start of a great adventure... Step by step, the family has written its name in the great book of Burgundy wines.

The estate's 37 hectares (25 in red and 12 in white, including 15 classified as Premier Cru) reflect the appellation's great diversity of terroirs.

Taken over in 1996 by Bertrand, Christiane Devillard and their children Amaury and Aurore, this Côte de Nuits estate boasts 15 hectares in the finest terroirs of Nuits-Saint-Georges and Vosne Romanée. Nearly 5 hectares are Nuits-Saint-Georges Premiers Crus, including the almost 100%-owned Premier Cru "Aux Perdrix" (99%). The quality of its terroirs, and the rigorous attention paid to cultivation, vinification and ageing, have earned Domaine des Perdrix a reputation and image among the finest of Burgundy's great wines.
